At Good Energy Therapy, we believe that therapy should be accessible, easy to understand, and help toward a fulfilling life.
Therapy with me can feel like a safe space [think: warm hug] to have meaningful and transformative dialogue. My therapeutic style is warm, authentic, and direct.
In therapy, I work with you to identify a treatment plan that will help in targeting your pain points and feeling better!
What do all the letters and acronyms mean? How do I know which approach is for me? Not a problem!
I’m all about transparent, competent care– making things clear and easy to understand so that you can make informed decisions!
Here are approaches that I have extensive training in, and pull from, most frequently when working with clients!
***This is not meant to be an exhaustive list, but to give you an idea of therapy types that may be helpful to your needs.
I hope you find this useful!
If you're struggling with anxiety, you aren't alone. Over 40 million adults suffer from an anxiety disorder and/or anxiety symptoms (according to the National Institute of Mental Health). There are SO many factors that have catapulted our experiences with anxiety- such as the COVID pandemic, racial discrimination and hate crimes, war, grief & loss, financial crisis and much more.
We'll work together to develop a personalized treatment plan that meets your unique needs.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) - let’s talk about thoughts, baby!
CBT is incredibly useful in improving your unhealthy thought patterns, overthinking, and inner self critic. I identify as a CBT therapist with a strong belief that thoughts play a crucial role, and can either be working for us or against us.
If you feel that you are constantly “in your head”, struggle with overthinking, and find it difficult to connect in relationships, you may benefit from CBT.
If you've experienced trauma, it's important to seek help from a qualified therapist.
We offer trauma-focused therapies, such as Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), which is helpful to process past traumas.
Relational-Cultural Therapy (RCT) - Want to thrive in relationships? We can start by building ours! There’s plenty of research to support that the client-therapist relationship is useful in improving communication, boundary-setting, and strengthening relationships. RCT is integrated in our work together.
Stress is a natural part of life, but when it becomes overwhelming, it can have a negative impact on our mental and physical health. Our stress interventions are designed to help you learn practical strategies to manage stress and improve your overall mental well-being.
